Sharita Gruberg, Program Specialist for Advocacy
and the Detention and Asylum Program
Sharita Gruberg joined the Women's Commission as Program
Specialist for Advocacy and the Detention and Asylum Program in October 2007.
She has a B.A. in Political Science and Women’s Studies from the University
of North Carolina and has a background in reproductive health issues from
her internships with the nongovernmental organizations Ipas and the Planned
Parenthood Federation of America. While studying in Bosnia and Croatia, she
had the opportunity to research the field operations of UNHCR and the OSCE.
