Mihoko Tanabe, Program Manager, Reproductive Health Program
Mihoko Tanabe is the Women’s Commission’s Reproductive
Health Program Specialist. She works primarily on the Reproductive Health
Access, Information and Services in Emergencies (RAISE) Initiative. Prior
to joining the Women’s Commission in 2007, Mihoko studied at Columbia
University’s Mailman School of Public Health and the School of International
and Public Affairs where she received a joint degree in Public Health and
International Relations. Mihoko has worked on advocacy for youth on reproductive
health-related issues in Japan, was part of a population and reproductive
health assessment team in Sudan, and also evaluated an international NGO’s
HIV/AIDS and maternal-child health community intervention strategies in Cambodia.
She is originally from Japan.
